After listening to feedback, we made some significant development changes to Harmoni, and as a result it has become more powerful and intuitive, making it easier to find the stories in your data. What's New and Updated in Harmoni?
Projects
New Classifications variable
Classifications are items that have been organized into groups. Project Owners can create groups, for example, trademarks, manufacturer nets, time series groups, etc., in an external spreadsheet making it easy to manage. Once complete, upload to Harmoni and apply in the sections you need them

Record View and Card View
Harmoni now let's you access the underlying data. Two new flags are available, which Project Owners can use to mark project variables, making them available in Record view and Card View tables. Explorers can drill into the data and take a closer look at what's driving their findings. The information icon has been updated to include the new items making it easy users to identify them in the project tree.

Add a Project Tile Image
Easily identify projects with a custom image on the project tile. Project Owners can load an image via the project tile 3-dot menu.

Duplicate a Project
Create a copy of your project with the duplicate option available from the 3-dot menu on the project tile.

Analysis
Harmoni has more options to create analyses. The analysis drop zones have been refreshed, and the analysis tables have a new look and feel. Harmoni presents new options to build your analysis with additional levels of nesting, and the flexibility to shape your table as you drag and drop.
When building a larger cross-tab, you can define the table layout before loading the data, a significant efficiency improvement.
Replace, Add and Nest
After making your initial selection (either down or across), use these updated options to fine-tune your analysis:

Split and Nest
When dragging a grid into the analysis area with no other variables included, you are presented with new options to Split or Nest. This allows you to setup an analysis just as you want it.

Start an analysis with measures
You can now begin your analysis with a measure or measure group. You no longer need to drag over a standard axis first.

New Selector replaces the Select Menu
The Select menu has been integrated it into the table's interactive title. Simply click any label in the title to activate the new Selector.
The Selector provides a list of current and recent selections in the analysis table, and now there is more flexibility to interact with your selections.

Control data loading
Control when the data loads when you build a large analysis. Switching the 'Load Data' button off lets you build out the table's structure before loading the data. Use in conjunction with search in the Selector.

Control the direction when adding calculation types
In a cross-tab, you can control the direction in which calculation types are added with two new arrows next to the add-replace switch.

One-click Suppress
The updated Suppress icon controls both zeros and nulls in unison. Turning them off individually is still available. Use the drop-down menu below the Suppress icon to access the two options.

Updated Table options - Nest, Grid, Group, and Switch
The options to Nest, Grid, Group (stack), and Switch a table have shifted. You'll find options available in the modify menu.

Table Navigator
When working with large tables, being able find your way around easily is important. no more endlessly scrolling with the table navigator.

Show/Hide Totals
Use the total TYPE menu to show or hide the total row and column in your table.

Change Percentage Base direction
Now with a simple click you can flip percentage base direction from down to across.

Global Filter Search
Finding the global filter you want amongst a long list is now much easier with the Search option. Type in the text to find the global filter category or option you want.
And now, when you click outside of the menu pane, the global filter menu automatically closes.

Drill Through
Harmoni has made it possible for you to access the underlying data, allowing a greater understanding of the results. We've introduced two levels of drill through in an analysis table:
- Record View
- Card View

Classifications - Expand
When you include classifications in your analysis, you can use the new EXPAND option in the modify menu to let you see the data included in the classification net.

Rank Across Hierarchies
Being able to rank is not new in Harmoni, but now you are able to rank across hierarchies, for example, when you have expanded out a classification or have created your own nested analysis.

Percentile Coloring
Percentile coloring uses colors to show you the highs and lows across the results in a table. With each row split into quintiles, it's easy to assess the data.

Verbatim Analysis
Analyzing uncoded verbatims can be a daunting task. Harmoni's updated verbatim analysis let's you interact with respondents' comments, diving deeper to focus your analysis and reveal the true story. Create word clouds, filter by or exclude specific words, or leverage other project variables to refine your analysis.

Visualization
Visualize will feel very familiar with only a few changes.
Funnel and Pyramid Graphs
Instead of a width graph, funnel and pyramid graphs have separate icons allowing you to choose your display easily.

Pie, Donut and Semi Donut graphs updated
When selecting pie, donut or semi-donut graphs, the options to change the decimal places or merge smaller segments into an 'others' segment have moved. These are now located in the drop-down menu under the graph icons.

Single Number Visualization has moved
The single number visualization option has moved to a new menu. Selecting a single cell in a table activates the Number menu from where you can select the Single Number option. All the same formatting options are available including displaying a gauge.

Add Margin of Error to your Charts
You can now add margin of error to your charts. After visualizing your data, access the modify menu and click the MoE icon.

Concatenated Labels in Charts
When you have a nested analysis, Harmoni now concatenates the labels and displays both of them in the chart.

Stories
Stories are now more interactive, allowing you to see more of the data without needing to load the view.
When you preview a story view you can...
- Use the scrollbars in a table
- Interact with the time slider to adjust the time periods you see
- Hover over the elements in the legend to highlight data points in the graph

Load Story View
You can now load a story view from the 3-dot menu on the Story View Tile.

Add a story tile image
Easily identify stories with a custom image on the story tile. Creators and Explorers can load an image using the three dot menu.

Dashboards
The dashboard canvas and tool panel have a refreshed look, along with some changes and additions.
Tool Panel interface for text containers
Changes have been made to the editing options for text containers.
- Start typing in the container and the editing tools will automatically become available.
- To access the HTML code editor, you can now click a separate icon at the top left of the container.
Custom link fields
The two Custom link fields have merged into one field. Add links to Projects, Dashboards and URL links in one place.
Selector Container
The new Selector container replaces using the Select menu. Add the selector to enable users to make selections across charts and tables on the dashboard page.
