Q: What is ChatHarmoni?
A: ChatHarmoni is an AI-Led assistant that supports several Harmoni capabilities via a chat interface and pre-wired key AI functionalities.
Q: How do I use ChatHarmoni?
A: Simple:
- Add your data source by dragging it into the drop box, or click the box to upload your file(s).
- Ask a question of your data or try one of the Quick Start buttons to get you going.
Q: What file types can I upload?
A: File types supported include:
- CSV
- Excel
- SPSS
- Dimensions
- x-Files
Q: What is the maximum size of file?
A: 5gb total for one project.
Q: How long will my project data be available?
A: The data you upload is automatically saved to a Harmoni project and is available for 2 weeks from the creation date. All Projects will be auto-cleaned after that time.
Q: What are the Quick Action buttons?
A: Once a project has been created, these are pre-primed, AI-led functions that you can apply to the data and within conversations to that data. There are three quick action buttons:
- Quick Action - DESCRIBE
- Quick Action - ANALYZE
- Quick Action - DISCOVER
Q: What does Quick Action DESCRIBE do?
A: This will assess the data you have uploaded and explain the contents of it to identify its theme, purpose and/or structure. A great way to know what is in your data!
Q: What does Quick Action ANALYZE do?
A: This will assess your data and look to suggest 10 warm-start, helpful analyses to begin investigating the data in distribution and cross-tabbed analyses. If you see one you like, you can click-to-run this also.
Q: What does Quick Action DISCOVER do?
A: This will assess your data and create an automatic AI selected, Bayesian supported (statistics) table representation of a Target analysis across several key descriptors from your data. This is the perfect way to understand statistical probability and relationships between targets and their comparison points.
Q: What does the ASK button do, and how do I use it?
A: Once you have added data, you can use one of the Quick Start buttons to initiate your project or simply type a question and click ASK to begin, e.g., “What are the key demographic ages in this data?” or “Show me a trend of brand awareness across the regions for 2025?”
Q: Does ChatHarmoni have to create a project each time I add data?
A: Yes. Core to the AI-led ChatHarmoni experience is the structured creation of a project to get all the benefits of the underlying platform capability and results.
Q: Can I control or change the output/outcome of project creation?
A: While the initial creation process combines AI and Automation to create a ‘ready to go project’ for you, you can still make manual adjustments or improvements using the standard tools available as part of your Harmoni project. Simply click the edit icon to make changes.
Q: My Project is taking a very long time to create, should it?
A: Data and data structures can have a lot of variety to them and the time it takes to create a project can vary from seconds to many minutes as a result. We have introduced the KIWIJUMPER game to keep you entertained while you wait, or alternatively, return to see the outcome at a later point.
Q: How do I access the project I created previously?
A: Using the PROJECTS tab at the top of the screen, will give you access to all projects that you have created, or that have been shared with you. Automatic projects (via ChatHarmoni) will be named with your username and date/time.
Q: Can I rename my project(s)?
A: Yes, Projects can be renamed via the Project tile. Just open the PROJECT menu and click on the base of the tile to rename the project you own.
Q: I got a table/chart answer to my question, however I want to understand the results in the table or chart further. Is this possible?
A: Yes, add/save your current table/chart to a story, and then use ChatHarmoni in your story preview to generate its commentary. This commentary can also be exported to PPT in the notes.
Q: The answer to my question or my quick action buttons was not quite what I wanted, how can I adjust?
A: You can use standard Harmoni functions (drag and drop, interact with the modify menu, visualize a chart, etc.) to add to or change the current analysis result. You can also simply try REGENERATE or ask/add to the current question, e.g., “Now filter this by males and show me as a stacked bar.”
Q: Can I ask other Harmoni functions when talking with ChatHarmoni?
A: ChatHarmoni is learning everyday. At present there are still limitations to its use across all Harmoni functions, however please experiment to see what is possible, e.g., phrases like “Undo that” or “change to a line chart” or “now cross that with month” should all give positive outcomes.
Q: Does ChatHarmoni support Sig testing and Low Sample indication?
A: While ChatHarmoni is still learning about those functions, Harmoni itself is very well equipped to help you with those needs. For now, look for and apply these manually via the modify menu if not already active in your analysis.
Q: What functions does ChatHarmoni support within Analysis?
A: Crossing various items, applying filters, calculation type displays, ranking (coming soon), limit display (coming soon) flip, and undo.
Q: Can I export my analyses/charts/insights?
A: Yes. Simply use Harmoni’s standard functions of export (Excel or PPT) directly from the analysis screen, or save your discoveries to a story to build up several views before exporting.
Q: Can I share my project, stories or exports with others?
A: Yes. Standard Harmoni functionality will allow you to share ownership or access to all the things you discover or create within Harmoni.
Q: Can I use ChatHarmoni in a dark theme?
A: Yes, Dark theme is supported from the top right color scheme toggle.
Q: Do I need to sign out when I leave ChatHarmoni (or Harmoni)?
A: While it is good practice to sign out when you are done with your session, we will also automatically sign you out after a period of non-use.
Q: What are the recommended specifications/browser to use ChatHarmoni?
A: We recommend a modern browser using their latest version - Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari. To get the most out of your ChatHarmoni (or Harmoni) experience, at least 4 GB but ideally 8+ gig of ram is recommended.
Q: Can I use ChatHarmoni from my mobile?
A: Due to the screen size and needs, we recommend using ChatHarmoni from a desktop or laptop computer.
Q: Why do I see a token limit error when I use ChatHarmoni?
A: When using ChatHarmoni, users may occasionally encounter a token limit error.
The limit on tokens exists because processing and storing lengthy conversations requires computational resources and memory. Token limits dictated by the IPSOS AI gateway and the underlying GPT, help manage resources efficiently, ensure faster processing, and maintain manageable response sizes.
The error in ChatHarmoni occurs because there are a number of factors in play, such as the number of items in the project, the size of the data, the number of sources, and the amount of grid information. To resolve or avoid these errors, you can reduce the size of the project via these options:
- Decreasing the number of sources
- Simplifying the tree items
- Lessening other complex inputs in the project
If possible, duplicate the project and cut the data down, for example, to one market.
In some instances, waiting a short period before attempting the request again might also help as the token usage resets on a per-minute basis. Success will be determined by the number of tokens required per minute.
