Harmoni dashboards can be exported to PowerPoint in an editable format. This means you can easily make adjustments to the exported slides once they are in PowerPoint. When exporting to Excel, the charts or tables in Dashboards are exported as tables.

1. Export a Dashboard to PowerPoint
To export a Dashboard page to PowerPoint, click the Export to PowerPoint button in the top left of the Harmoni screen.
- Click the PowerPoint icon
- The PPT is downloaded to your downloads folder
- Open the downloaded PPT file
- The dashboard exports with the default margins

Styles and Layout of the PowerPoint
The exported slides inherit the theme and styling from your PowerPoint template. The table headings and font family for the chart in the PPT are inherited from the PowerPoint template.
When you export to PowerPoint, there are some Harmoni settings that override your PPT template. The dashboard page is scaled down to fit into the PowerPoint slide. You can manually make adjustments within the PowerPoint slide. The default label and page size of the dashboard exported is controlled by keys in Harmoni:
- PPT Export Data label font size - 8pt
- PPT Bottom Margin - 50pt
- PPT Left Margin - 50pt
- PPT Right Margin - 50pt
- PPT Top Margin - 50pt

Images and Media within a Dashboard
- Any images added in an image container are included in the PPT export
- Any images added via text container using a Harmoni Asset Link or an open source image URL are included in the PPT export
- For any image added by custom CSS, you need to manually add the image to the exported file
- Embed items are not supported. You need to manually add the media to the PPT
- Media items are not supported. You need to manually add the image/media to PPT
Charts within a Dashboard
The chart axes, labels and legends follow the proportions of your Harmoni stories. However, as the font style is inherited from the PowerPoint template you may need to make adjustments.
- You can easily make adjustments to all the charts as one group in the PowerPoint slide
- The PowerPoint export includes all charts on the dashboard page, including hidden charts using the Hide chart when zoomed out option. You can remove the hidden chart after exporting. To export the hidden chart, zoom the chart in the dashboard and then export it.
2. Export a Dashboard to Excel
When you export your Harmoni dashboard to Excel, all charts are exported as tables. Each table is organized into a separate tab within a single Excel file. The exported tables also reflect any filter selections you have made on your dashboards.
- Click the Export to Excel button
- The export is downloaded to your downloads folder
- Open the downloaded Excel file
- In the Excel file, each chart is displayed as a table in different tabs
