Using the Suppress feature allows you to hide zeros and nulls in your analysis table. This removes the dashes or 0% when there is no data.
Suppress Zero removes rows and/or columns when the numerator is zero, while Suppress Null removes rows and/or columns when the numerator and denominator are zero. Suppress is available in the modify menu.

1. Suppress
Click the Suppress icon to hide both zeros and nulls together. To remove zero and null values from your analysis, you can use the drop-down menu to turn off individual options or suppress both as needed. Suppression only applies if an entire row or column has null or zero values.
a. Suppress Zero
This feature removes columns and/or rows from your analysis when the numerator is zero.
This option doesn't appear in the modify menu if you have a row or column selected.
- Use Suppress Zero when there are no responses in an answer.
- Click the icon to activate Suppress. Use the drop-down menu to choose your option.
- Notice how the icon displays half orange when one of the options is turned off.
- You can only suppress entire rows or columns with zero values.
b. Suppress Null
This feature removes from your analysis columns and/or rows when both the numerator and denominator are zero (i.e. the base is zero).
This option doesn't appear in the modify menu if you have a row or column selected.
- Use Suppress Null when both the numerator and denominator are zero.
- Open the drop-down menu and select the Suppress Null to hide null values.
- Notice how the icon displays half orange when one of the options is turned on.
- If you choose Suppress Zero and still see zeros in the analysis, it's because the value isn't actually zero.
- Add decimal places to view the value.
