When you click STORIES in the global menu bar, your saved stories appear as tiles, each containing a collection of views. There are different ways you can interact with your stories and story views.

1. Stories Area
The STORIES area is accessed by clicking STORIES in the Global Menu Bar. Here, you can see all the stories you have created and those shared with you. Use the filter options to view stories that are Owned by me, are marked as your Favorites, or stories that are Shared with me. You also have the option to view All stories.
To set a default filter option for the STORIES area, hover over your choice and click the star. An orange star indicates your new default.
- Click on STORIES to view all your stories.
- Hover over and click the star to set your preferred default for loading stories.
- The orange star indicates the new default option.
2. Story Tile View Space
In the STORIES area, each story is represented by a Story tile. Selecting to VIEW a story takes you to the story tile view space. In this space, you can see the contents of a story. Organizing related story views in a Story simplifies reporting and dashboard creation.
The Story Tile View Space has the following features:
- The navigation pane on the left shows all the available stories.
- The area on the right shows tiles for each view within the selected story.
- Each view (saved analysis) is shown as a separate tile.
- The story name is shown at the top of the screen, with the option to add the story to your favorites.
- You can also find options to export, duplicate, delete or create a direct link to the story.
View Tiles
Icons on the tiles indicate the type of view, such as a table, a graph, verbatim, single number, or dashboard page. Many of the chart types are displayed below. Dragging the view tiles around reorders them.
3-Dot menu
The 3 dot menu is available in the story tile and the view tile. Here, you can find different contextual options.

Favorite/Unfavorite: Add or remove as a favorite
Create a Task: Automate a story export task
View All Tasks: View the story export tasks
Export to XLS: Export the whole story to Excel
Export to PPT: Export the whole story to PowerPoint
Duplicate: Make a copy of the whole story. Rename and make adjustments, while retaining the original.
Delete: Delete the whole story
Replace Tile Image: Upload/Replace tile image
View Tile
Load story view: Load the story in the analysis view to gain access to standard analysis functions.
Export to XLS: Export the single view to Excel
Export to PPT: Export the single view to PowerPoint
Delete: Delete the single view
2. Story Preview Space
Clicking on a view tile takes you to the story preview space. The content of the story view reflects the latest data available to you.
- When in story preview mode, the navigation pane on the left shows the view tiles for all other views in the story.
- The story name is displayed in black and the story view name is in orange
- If you are the story owner, when you hover over the names, a pencil icon is displayed next to the story and view names allowing you to edit them.
- The numbers in brackets indicate the positioning of the view in the story.
- Dragging the view tiles around reorders them.
- Click VIEW on a Story tile to preview the story
- Click a view tile to preview the story view.
- Scroll through the left panel to other story views
- Click a view to preview a different view
Navigate Story Views
You can navigate through the story views using the story view navigator or using the left and right arrows on your keyboard.
- Use the arrows next to the story preview to navigate
- The active story has an orange border on the left panel
- Click back to return to a story tile view
