To begin your investigation, drag and drop the variables you are interested in from the project tree into the analysis zone.
Once you create an analysis, the options undo, reset, and clear become available in the menu bar. These options are useful when you want to create a new analysis or if you have made a mistake.
In this article
1. Undo
After creating an analysis, if you have made a mistake or want to undo an analysis step, you can use the undo button. Appearing on the top right of the Harmoni menu bar, undo reverses the last action.
If the undo option is greyed out, it means there is no step to undo at present. After reversing the last action the undo button reverts to grey as it can only reverse the last action.
- Create an analysis
- In this example, the last step of adding Gender as a filter was not correct
- Click UNDO to undo this last action
- Add the desired filter
2. Clear Analysis
Clear analysis, located on the top right of the analysis pane, allows you to simply clear the analysis while retaining all of your project tree interactions (like position, open/closed headers, search results, or selected item).
Clear analysis keeps your analysis settings intact, like selected calculations types. This means you can continue with your analysis thought processes, but start with a blank canvas.
Clear analysis keeps your settings intact.
- Create your analysis and modify the analysis settings
- Here, we can see additional calculation types are added and SIG has been turned on
- Use Clear to clear your analysis
- The project tree remains expanded and a new analysis uses the modified analysis settings
3. Reset
Reset clears your analysis and resets the project tree. Reset also returns the analysis settings to the default state.
The reset button appears on the top right of the Harmoni menu bar.
Reset returns settings to the default state.
- Create your analysis and make changes to the analysis settings
- Use Reset to start again
- The project tree is reset and a new analysis uses the default analysis settings
