Alerts are notifications that let you know when something has changed in the data. You control these notifications, setting alerts on data points you want to track. Has there been a significant change? Has a data point been updated? Or has an important target been met? Let Harmoni tell you what's happening with your data.

Alert Triggers
There are many options you can set to trigger an alert. Depending on the settings in your table, you may see different options available, for example, setting an alert based on a ranked result requires the table to be ranked.
1. Set an Alert: Data updated
With this option selected, an alert notification is triggered when the data is updated. This can be a simple way to remind you that new data is available.
2. Set an Alert: Trigger event
You can set an alert to be triggered when specific criteria are met for the selected data point. There are two options:
a. A significant change occurs
The table must have significant testing turned on in the table for this selection to trigger.
b. When a result is inside or outside of a range
Select the inside or outside option and enter the values in the range boxes.
3. Dynamic Alert: Top ranked result
To set an alert for the top ranked result, you must first rank the table and then set the alert.
- Rank a column or row in your analysis table
- Select the top ranked data point and click Set an Alert
- Select the option, Set an alert when all data is updated
- Then, select Set and alert for the top ranked result
- Click Set Alert
When the data is updated, you will receive a notification.
4. Dynamic Alert: Most recent result
When you run an analysis with a time based axis, e.g., 3MMT in the across drop zone, you can set an alert on a data point in the latest column to add an alert for the most recent result.
- Run a time based analysis
- Select a data point in the latest column and click Set an Alert
- Select the option, Set an alert when all data is updated
- Then, select Set an alert for the most recent result
- Click Set Alert
When the data is updated, an alert will trigger to let you know the latest result for that time period.
5. Alert Name
Harmoni automatically labels the alert based on the data point and alert type. Click into the text box to change the label. You can also edit the name in the Alerts Area.
2. Alerts Area
The ALERTS area is where you can see and interact with all your alerts and alerts that have been shared with you. Hover over an alert tile to edit, view or share alerts and use the 3-dot menu to favorite or delete an alert. You can also search and sort alerts.
Use the filters to view alerts owned by you, those you have set as your favorites, alerts shared with you or see all the alerts.
Clicking the View Triggered Alerts tile takes you to the Alerts Hive.
3. Alert Hive
The Hive is where you can see all the activity for your alerts. Here you see all the alerts that are either currently triggered or have been triggered in the past. To see all alerts, including those that have not been triggered yet, you need to go to the ALERTS area.
To access the Alert Hive, click the ALERTS menu and click View Triggered Alerts. Use the filter options along the bottom of the Hive area to show...
- All triggered alerts
- Alerts with results that are significantly up
- Alerts with results that are significantly down
- Alerts that have been triggered, but not viewed yet
- Alerts that fall inside or outside of a range
You can also mark all alerts as read.
- Click View Triggered Alerts to access the Alert Hive
- Harmoni displays the triggered, unseen alerts
- Use the filters to view the different alert types
- Mark all alerts as read
4. Alert Viewer
The Alert View provides an overview of the alert information. You can access the viewer in three places:
- The Alerts HIVE: Click a Hive tile
- The ALERTS area: Click View on a tile
- The Notification panel: Click View Alert on the notification message
5. Sharing Alerts
Just like sharing Stories, you can share Alerts with other Creators, Explorers and Viewers.
When you create a new alert, it is not automatically shared with anyone. To share your alert, drag and drop users into the appropriate permission group and select SAVE.
All users must have a minimum of Unlisted Access to the project to be able to view the alert details.
